Good People Design Hostel

I landed in Belgrade on a completely unexpected occasion because my EU visa expired after I had left Slovenia for Athens with a layover in Serbia. The reality just hit me that I’d have to go ahead and stay in Belgrade for a few more days before heading back. I was so desperate for a place to stay because it was near midnight and there weren’t many options left, so I went on booking to see if I could find a hostel. This is what brought me to this hostel anyway. What made them truly stand out was the reception. I was asking if I’d still be able to check in if I arrived slightly later than the check in time and the staff on night shift just kept assuring me that I could check in whenever I want. That was a huge relief for me since I was literally still having a bit of a buzz in my head. After arriving at the hostel, the staff swiftly completed check in with me and immediately went on to show me around the property, where everything including even the smallest details were informed. The staff on night shift specifically was super nice and chill! We talked about a lot of things and he’s always super willing to provide any info about the city. At that point I really felt heard and seen. Overall the hostel has some of the best vibes you could get in the entire world!

I had a single room shared bathroom. The room was big with confy bed and natural light, strong wifi very clean everywhere inside the hostel.

I stayed there for 2 nights and had a really nice experience. Maybe I was lucky to run into those awesome people who were there. For a solo traveler I highly recommend this place. Nice little garden for smokers, spacious even though there are many people there. Friendly and helpful staff. Every morning you could see the cleaning staff really putting in an effort. Showers are good for what you pay, it's in a booth seperated from other showers so you have privacy, you can also hang your clothes there. I didn't have a towel and it could be bought at a very cheap price. There is also a hair dryer in the bathroom. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a long term stay. Wifi was great, not once did I experience any loss of signal, wifi speed was also good. There are lockers in the bedroom, that ensures you that all your valuables are safe, also great to have to reduce chaos because there are 12 people per room so that was perfect. My big suitcase didn't fit there, however a bigger locker can be bought at a very cheap price, I think it was 2€ per day. Many toiletes as well, never had to wait for wc nor the shower. Location is perfect , a 15 min walk to the city centre, 10 min walk to the famous Kalemegdan. A lot of shops, bakeries and kiosks nearby. Also a 24/7 shop 5 min away. A little special mention to the Serbian girl working night shift, (Saturday around 3am) I was a bit loud, drunk and vibing. She repeatedly had to hush us, each time very patient and super professional. I really liked her way of work, determined to keep other guests happy. Svaka čast mala, nije lako sa budalama poput nas. I also got an ear infection later that morning and she was quick to find me an ER and taxi to get there! 10/10. You are in safe hands when she is working. I just wish I remembered her name 😂

I like this hostel. Bed has privacy with curtains and AC is cold. Bathroom is well cleaned and the staffs are nice and can give you information. I asked about how to get to Novi Sad and the receptionist whose name unfortunately I didn’t ask, gave me very clear direction and she even recommended me to go from New Belgrade station, because the main station streets are blockade by protests. I will definitely come back to this hostel.

Great location, very safe area, staff were nice, kitchen and outdoor areas was good. Leaving luggage had a good system. Aircon worked well.
